We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in metal fabrication and assembly, demonstrating proficiency in various techniques and tools. This role is essential for ensuring high-quality production standards and contributing to the overall success of our projects. You will be asked to demonstrate your skills and be expected to have a high level of skill and a high attention to detail.
Duties
- Fabricate metal components according to specifications and drawings.
- Operate machinery for grinding, welding, and cutting metal materials.
- Perform assembly tasks, ensuring precision and adherence to quality standards.
- Utilize hand tools effectively for shaping and finishing metal products.
- Conduct routine maintenance on tooling and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
Skills
- Proficient in fabrication techniques with experience in sheet metal work.
- Strong welding skills, with the ability to perform various welding methods.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with machinery and tools.
- Experience using hand tools and tooling equipment effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Must be able to read and work to detailed engineering drawings.
- Supporting documentation of skills will be required.
- Permanent position.
- Good working conditions and regular overtime.
- Overtime rate @ £29.25 to 33.75 per hour.
- Orwell holiday scheme in addition to pay.
- 5 Weeks holidays plus bank holidays. Two weeks shutdown at Christmas
